A cake stand is used for decoration, placing, and serving of cakes. It is usually shaped like a stool and acts as a support for the cake layers placed on it. You can design the stands with different materials like terracotta or ceramic. It is simple to make as all you need is a moderately sized terracotta/ceramic saucer and pot, paint, water, ruler, paintbrush, wax, and a stencil.

You should attach the saucer to the pot’s center using strong glue and leave to dry till the next day. When the glue dries up, paint the cake stand with your desired color and leave it to dry again for a few hours. After ensuring the top of the stand is smooth, use a stencil to make lovely designs on it for extra effect. Add wax to the top again before placing any edible item on it and remove it after a few minutes. Now your homemade cake stand is ready to hold cakes and all kinds of desserts.

You’ve probably thought of lighting up your home with flowers and beautiful flower containers to go with it. How about making these flower pots instead of buying them all the time from supermarkets? You can easily make planters in your home once you know the right methods. Most planters are made from terracotta, but you can also use wood, plastic, or even t-shirts to make a beautiful planter.

To make a planter, you need your desired material, a supporting stand, paint, and glue. Clean the container thoroughly, glue it to the stand, and paint the planter in any color you want. You can use bright colors or even mix two colors so your planter can pop.
