Laundry is, for a lot of us, the chore that we all love to hate, but can’t do without. And if we become careless about it, laundry can turn into a favorite-clothing-ruining nightmare. We also want our laundry time and effort to pay off by giving us clothes that smell fresh and clean as opposed to just ‘not dirty’. Well, if that’s what you want, then stick around because we’re about to reveal some neat little tips to do just that.
1. Use mouthwash on the washing machine
Instead of buying expensive and purpose-specific detergents, you can just use your very own mouthwash as a disinfectant of the washing machine in order for it to stay in good cleaning shape. Due to its strong agents -alcoholic or not- the mouthwash should be able to remove all stains and fungi. Next time you want to clean your WM, pour half a glass of mouthwash in the place you would usually put the detergent and start a washing cycle on an empty load. The results will please you.
2. Put socks in dedicated bags
Our world can be a mysterious place; from the Egyptian Pyramids, to Area 51, all the way to how we could swear that our washing machine eats some of our socks. Although some mysteries are a little harder to be solved, others are not. And for the socks, I have just the solution for you that will make you think why you’ve never thought of it before. You can put the socks in individual bags to be washed in. Now you’ll be sure that the socks will be both clean and uneaten by the washing machine goblins.
